Empowered Dairy & Livestock Initiative

Nasirabad & Masuda (Ajmer, Rajasthan) | Duration: 2023 – 2026

  • Providing hands-on training in dairy farming, goat rearing, and fodder cultivation to 500+ rural households

  • Promoting mineral mixture feeding, low-cost shed construction, and vaccination awareness

  • Supporting women-led micro dairies and goat milk parlors

  • Linking producers with local markets for milk and value-added products (ghee, paneer, goat soap)

Livelihood Through Millets & Spice Processing

Ajmer District, Rajasthan | Duration: 2024 – 2027

  • Training SHGs in millet processing, packaging, and branding (bajra, ragi, kodo, etc.)

  • Promoting spice drying and grinding units for turmeric, chili, and coriander

  • Enhancing market linkage through fairs, cooperatives, and FPOs

  • Creating women entrepreneurs in agri-based enterprises

Eco School – Environmental Learning Program

Objectives:

  • To provide knowledge and skills to farmers, youth, women, and livestock keepers to make them proficient and self-reliant in their respective fields.

  • To develop critical thinking, understanding, and decision-making abilities to make agriculture and livestock practices profitable and sustainable.

  • To promote participatory thinking and innovation for understanding and solving local problems.

  • To build an understanding of working through collective efforts by organizing communities at the grassroots level.

  • To enhance collaboration and communication between farmers, extension workers, and researchers, enabling locally suitable solutions to be identified and adopted.

Key Activities:

  • Promoting environmental literacy (Eco-literacy)

  • Establishment of kitchen gardens, herbal plant nurseries, and compost pits

  • Encouraging plastic-free lifestyles and sustainable farming and livestock practices

  • Formation of trained “Eco Leaders” and innovative farmer groups

  • Empowering rural youth by providing training and creating local employment opportunities

  • Training rural women (who have studied till 10th or 12th grade) as Gram Sakhis (village companions) and helping them become entrepreneurs
